CitySteel owner and manager Joe Sova understands the complex and difficult nature of steel deck and stud installation. A second-generation union ironworker, Joe is part of a proud family tradition of quality ironworkers. His father, uncles and brother are all in the business, and are dedicated to providing the best work on every project. Joe is committed to the union principles of a top quality job done right by the best workforce in North America.
CitySteel was founded in 1998 with the dream of providing only three things: floor decking, roof decking, and studs. Eighteen years later, we’ve kept our focus, weathered the downturns in the market and are still going strong. Even in tough times general contractors have found that CitySteel provides the value and peace of mind that they need to complete the project on time and on budget..
CitySteel will staff your project with quality ironworkers who won’t take shortcuts during installation. All of our foremen and workers are union members, and every person on the site is doing hands-on work to ensure a quality, safe result. Our Experience Modification Rate (EMR) is 0.8, and we continually push to improve on this already excellent score by providing continuing safety instruction and job site mentoring.
CitySteel is proud to be a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and a certified Michigan Minority Business Enterprise (MMBE).
